From clipboards to predictive operations: a maturity model for plant owners deciding where to invest next.
Level 1 to 3
Most plants sit between manual logging (level 1) and local SCADA with alarms (level 3). The jump from 2 to 3 is mostly instrumentation. The jump from 3 to 4 is about people and process.
Level 4: remote operations
At level 4, specialists watch trends remotely and act before alarms trigger. This is where most of the value lies for mid-sized industrial plants.
Level 5: optimisation
Level 5 uses historical data to tune dosing, aeration and cleaning continuously. It requires clean, trusted data, which is why the earlier levels matter.
